I just thought
i would write to let you know that taking
your yoga class and private lessons has
been a tremendous help to my overall health/fitness.
The biggest benefit has been in facilitating
an almost 100% recovery to some injuries
i have had in my neck/shoulder from years
of playing hockey. I had been told by several
prominent physicians that there was no way
these injuries could heal without surgery.
I was very frustrated at
this point after trying all the medical
profession(including sports rehabilitation)
could offer and decided to take matters
into my own hands which included changing
my diet and developing a regular yoga practice.
Luckily at this time i came to Naples and
saw an article about you in natural awakenings
and how you dealt with a similar situation
so i signed up to do some yoga at the studio
and get some private lessons. This was about
5 months ago now i am happy to report i
have went from about 50% use of my right
shoulder to 99% use( with no pain). i am
now back to playing golf,racquetball and
hockey(after 3 yrs) totally pain-free. Yoga
and nutrition are now part of my overall
lifestyle and i plan on keeping it that
way.

I have taken Yoga for
3 years. Now, I can stretch more than I
ever could in my life. A few years ago,
I broke my neck in 2 places, so I needed
Chiropractic care for extreme headaches.
I can go much longer without a headache
now thanks to Tess. Yoga also gives me much
more endurance and strength. I have an overall
feeling of well being.

I started taking Yoga
classes from Tess 3 years ago, after
respiratory failure and a heart attack.
I also have had arthritis for 37 years,
osteoporosis for 5 years, and asthma for
46 years. I also suffer from high cholesterol.
Yoga has made an enormous difference in
my life. I don't need chiropractic care
any longer. During the 3 years of Yoga,
I had to quit for a few months since we
were fixing up houses.
When I stopped going to
class, the difference was remarkable.
It took only a month for my cholesterol
to rise. Cholesterol medication causes me
to have extreme pain. But, I have discovered
through Yoga, that medication is not necessary.
The medication I was put on after my heart
attack caused me to gain 48 pounds. Through
Yoga, I was able to lose 38 of those pounds.

I have been doing Yoga
with Tess for 3 years. I had no prior experience
with Yoga. I was immediately able to rise
from a chair without using my arms. The
osteoporosis I was diagnosed with in 2000
has been reduced to osteopenia. Yoga has
allowed me to emotionally and physically
improve my life.
