Mary:
Her doctor suggested tranquilizers
for dealing with stress and anxiety.
She wanted to try yoga instead.
So far, the breathing have helped her
to learn to block out the outside world.
In addition to the stress reduction and
relaxation she has experienced, her flexibility
has improved. She is also more aware of
her posture and spends more time stretching.
She works with videos at home to improve
her practice.
Sue:
Sue enjoys yoga for its social aspects.
"I can do something good for myself and
enjoy it with all of my friends." Sue
spent many years being the primary caregiver
to her ailing husband, as well as her
17-year old Chihuahua. She is just now
starting to take time for herself and
has not yet started a home practice. She
also enjoys walking and having dinner
with friends.
JoAnne:
JoAnne came to class to improve her body
and her health. She plays golf at least
four days a week and walks every day.
Even though she is a relatively new student,
she already enjoys all of the benefits
the other students have described.
