Welcome
to Joyful Yoga.
We provide a variety of Hatha Yoga classes that
include postures, breathing exercises and deep
relaxation. This ancient art/science is time tested
to have immense benefits, physically, mentally
and emotionally when done regularly.
In contrast to most forms of
exercise, the postures are most effective when
done gently, without strain or pain, in a non
competitive manner. Classes are ongoing. You may
begin at any time. Yoga is practiced on an empty
stomach, in bare feet. Dress comfortably and bring
a towel. We provide mats and blankets for your
convenience free of charge but strongly encourage
you to purchaseone or both, not only for hygienic
reasons but also to make a commitment to your
practice and provide your own sacred space. Several
styles are available in the store.
Precautions:
If you have not done Yoga before or have
health challenges that limit your movement we
recommend one, or a series of private lessons
to help you familiarize yourself with the asanas
(postures), and help you modify them as needed.
This will help you integrate into any of the classes
and insure a pleasurable experience. Please let
your health instructor know if you have any health
challenges or are pregnant.

Some classes begin and/or end chanting the primordial

aligns the energy of the participants. Chanting
is used in all spiritual traditions and has many

Classes end with the Sanskrit greeting “Namaste”,
meaning; the divine in me recognizes and honors
the divine in you and knows we are one.
