Massage Descriptions

Deep Tissue Massage (Myofascial Release):
A combination of deep, penetrating, slow & precise movements help relieve Soreness of Tight, Tense & Strained muscles, tendons & ligaments. Improve flexibility & help Prevent Injury by Reducing & preventing constriction & adhesions between muscles & connective tissue & by Increasing Fresh Blood flow to Tired, Oxygen-starved tissue & helps Prevent Muscle Atrophy. Also effective on Scar Tissue. The Therapist works to lengthen muscle fibers.

Neuro-Muscular (Trigger Point Therapy):
Direct pressure to tender areas (trigger points) of Contracted muscle is used to Release muscle spasms & Restore Nutrients & fresh Blood supply to Damaged, Hyper Tonic areas. Muscular Re-education, Postural Release & Proprioception are used to help your body return to its Natural Body Structure. Also utilized by Chiropractors.

Sports Massage (Pre-Event & Post-Event):

Pregnancy Massage (second and third trimesters only):
Designed to meet the special needs of the expectant mother. Leg Cramps, swelling and backaches will be reduced and circulation improved with this very safe massage for baby and mother-to-be. Increase energy and relieve pain and stress.

Chair Massage:
A seated, fully clothed massage that focuses on the upper body, neck, shoulders, back and arms. Usually done for 15-20 minutes.
